Indian Army Jobs: An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals aspiring to become officers in the Indian Army. In addition to the traditional routes like NDA and CDS, candidates can also enter through the Technical Entry Scheme. Successful applicants will earn a permanent commission as a Lieutenant after completing four years of rigorous training.


Available Positions:
The Indian Army has announced a recruitment notification for the Technical Entry Scheme for the July 2026 batch, offering a total of 90 positions. The entire recruitment process is expected to conclude by July 2026.


Application Deadline:
The notification for the Technical Entry Scheme 2026 was released on October 14th, and the application window is now open. Interested candidates can submit their applications until November 13th, 2025, through the official Indian Army website.


Commission Details:
Candidates who are selected under the Technical Entry Scheme will receive an engineering degree upon completion of their training and will be commissioned as Lieutenants. They will have opportunities for advancement to ranks such as Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Major General, and Lieutenant General.


Eligibility Criteria:
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for the Technical Entry Scheme 2026. The age limit for applicants is between 16.5 and 19.5 years, meaning candidates must have been born between January 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010. Additionally, they must have secured at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 12th-grade examinations and must have appeared for the JEE Main 2025.


Selection Process:
The selection for the Technical Entry Scheme will involve calling candidates for the Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their 12th-grade marks and JEE Main scores. Only those who pass this stage will undergo a medical examination, followed by the release of a merit list.


Training Stipend:
Candidates selected for the Technical Entry Scheme will undergo a four-year training program. During this training, after the first three years, they will receive a stipend of ₹56,100 per month, comparable to that of NDA cadets. Upon completion of the training, they will be commissioned as Lieutenants and will receive a salary according to their rank.
