This recruitment initiative aims to fill positions in both rural and urban settings throughout the state. Notably, candidates who have completed their 7th or 10th grade are eligible to apply, thus broadening the scope of employment for many. The deadline for online applications is April 30th.


Details of the Recruitment Drive

The recruitment drive includes a total of 772 vacancies, divided between 'Rural Home Guard' and 'Urban Home Guard' roles. A greater number of positions are designated for rural areas, while specific slots are reserved for urban locations. This initiative aims to address the staffing needs across various districts in Jharkhand.


Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must meet specific educational qualifications based on the position they are applying for. For the 'Rural Home Guard' role, a minimum of 7th-grade completion is required, while the 'Urban Home Guard' role necessitates at least a 10th-grade education.


Male applicants must have a minimum height of 162 cm (157 cm for reserved category candidates) and a chest measurement of 79 cm. The physical assessment will include a 1-mile run, high jump, long jump, and shot put, with scoring based on performance.


Female candidates are required to have a minimum height of 148 cm and will also participate in the same physical tests, with marks awarded according to their performance.


Age and Application Fee

The age criteria stipulate that applicants must be at least 19 years old, with an upper age limit of 40 years. Relaxations in the age limit will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per government guidelines.


An application fee of ₹200 is applicable for all candidates wishing to participate in this recruitment drive.
