New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the provisional answer key and response sheets for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1 (B.E/B.Tech) on February 4, 2026. Candidates who participated in the entrance exam can download these documents using their login credentials from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. In case of any discrepancies, candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer key until February 6, 2026.


Accessing the Answer Key

The provisional answer key for Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech), along with the question papers and recorded responses, has been uploaded on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Interested candidates can challenge the provisional answer key (if any) by submitting an online application with a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 for each question.


Note: The processing fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, or net banking until February 6, 2026, at 11:50 PM. Any challenge will not be considered without the receipt of the processing fee, and payments through other means will not be accepted.


Steps to Download JEE Main 2026 Answer Key

To download the scorecard, follow these steps:



  • Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

  • Click on the answer key link available on the homepage.

  • A PDF file will be displayed on the screen.

  • Download it and save it for future reference.


What Happens After the Objection Window Closes?

After the objection period ends, subject experts will review the objections raised by candidates. If any of the objections are found to be valid, a final answer key will be released, which will be used to declare the JEE Main Session 1 results for 2026.


Candidates should note that the NTA's decision regarding the objections will be final, and no further communication will be entertained in this regard.


Expected Result Date for JEE Main 2026

The NTA is likely to announce the results for JEE Main Session 1 by February 12, 2026. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards through the NTA's online portal.
