JEE Advanced 2026: The first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 is tentatively set to take place between January 21 and January 29. The second session is planned for April. Notably, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will now also accept admissions based on JEE Advanced scores, with preparations already in place.

IIT Roorkee will oversee the administration of JEE Advanced 2026, which is scheduled for May 17, 2026. The examination will consist of two papers: Paper 1 from 9 AM to 12 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Only the highest-scoring candidates from JEE Main are permitted to take JEE Advanced. Specifically, the top 2.50 lakh candidates from both sessions of JEE Main will qualify for JEE Advanced, with only the top 25,000 gaining admission to IITs and NITs.

IISc Bangalore will now offer admissions based on JEE Advanced scores. Candidates can participate in JoSAA counselling 2026 to enroll in the B.Tech program at IISc Bangalore. This counselling process also facilitates admissions to 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and over 47 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), with IISc Bangalore now included.
