ISRO URSC Junior Research Fellow Positions Available



ISRO URSC JRF Recruitment: The UR Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) of ISRO, located in Bengaluru and part of the Government of India's Department of Space, has initiated a recruitment campaign. Fellowship Details and Terms


The fellowship is initially set for two years, with the possibility of extension based on performance, up to a maximum of five years (combined JRF + SRF). Selected candidates will receive support to pursue a PhD. The monthly stipend for JRFs is ₹37,000, which will increase to ₹42,000 upon transitioning to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) status. House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided if hostel accommodation is unavailable, but Dearness Allowance (DA) will not be included.


JRFs are entitled to casual leave, and female candidates may avail maternity leave. Other government benefits will not be available, although canteen facilities will be accessible.


Selection Procedure


Candidates will be chosen based on an initial screening of their academic qualifications and application details, followed by an interview. Only those who are shortlisted will be invited for the interview, and meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview invitation. The interviews will take place in Bengaluru, and call letters will be sent via email. The final results will be published on the ISRO website.
