ISRO Propulsion Complex Recruitment Overview



The ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) located in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, has announced a recruitment drive for various positions. A total of 22 vacancies are available for roles including Technical Assistant, Technician B, Cook A, and Fireman A.

Candidates applying for Technician B must have completed the 10th grade and hold an ITI qualification along with an NTC or NAC certificate in the relevant trade. Fireman A applicants must also have completed the 10th grade and meet specific physical test standards. A first-class diploma in the relevant engineering field is required for Technical Assistant roles.


Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive salaries based on their designated pay levels:



  • Technical Assistant: Pay Level 7 (₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400)


  • Technician B: Pay Level 3 (₹21,700 to ₹69,100)


  • Cook A and Fireman A: Pay Level 2 (₹19,900 to ₹63,200)



Application Fees

The application fee is ₹750 for the Technical Assistant position, while it is ₹500 for Technician B, Cook A, and Fireman A roles.


Selection Process

The selection for Technical Assistant and Technician B will involve a written exam followed by a skill test. For Cook A, a skill test will follow the written exam, while Fireman A candidates will undergo a physical efficiency test and a medical examination. The written exam for Technical Assistant and Technician B will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 90 minutes, with a scoring system that includes negative marking. The Cook and Fireman exams will feature 100 questions each, with a duration of 120 minutes.
