The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has announced job openings for the positions of Hospitality Monitor and Tourism Monitor. These roles will be filled on a contractual basis, and interested candidates must attend a walk-in interview for selection. This recruitment is specifically for the South Central Zone (SCZ) of IRCTC.


Qualifications Required

**What are the required qualifications?**


To qualify for the Hospitality Monitor position, candidates must possess a three-year degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field.


For the Tourism Monitor role, applicants should have either a three-year degree in Tourism or any graduation degree along with a one-year diploma in Travel and Tourism.


Candidates with a two-year postgraduate degree or diploma in Travel and Tourism are also eligible. Relevant experience in tour operations or travel agencies is necessary for both positions.


Salary and Benefits

The monthly salary for Hospitality Monitors is set at ₹30,000, while Tourism Monitors can earn either ₹30,000 or ₹35,000, depending on their qualifications. Additional allowances will be provided, including a daily allowance for train duty, accommodation costs for overnight stays away from headquarters, and compensation for working on national holidays.


Interview Schedule

**When will the interviews take place?**


Interviews for the Hospitality Monitor position are scheduled for October 5, 2026, at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), VSS Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Additional interviews will occur on October 8, 2026, at the IHM, Vidya Nagar, Hyderabad, both from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.


For the Tourism Monitor role, interviews will be conducted on October 6, 2026, at the IRCTC Regional Office, Press Square, Bhubaneswar, and on October 9, 2026, at the IRCTC office, Oxford Plaza, Sarojini Devi Road, Secunderabad, also from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
