Overview: The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has announced its recruitment notification for the year 2026, seeking applications for 637 apprentice roles across various trades at the Panipat Refinery and Petrochemical Complex.

Application Timeline:
Interested candidates can submit their applications online from February 7, 2026, until February 20, 2026. This recruitment is conducted in accordance with the Instructors Act of 1961/1973.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications for full-time positions: B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Industrial Chemistry; a Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering; ITI (Fitter) from NCVET/SCVT; BA/BSc/B.Com; or a 12th-grade pass for the Data Entry Operator role.

Note: Candidates with advanced degrees such as B.Tech, MBA, MCA, or CA are not eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 18 and 24 years old as of the closing date, February 20, 2026. Age relaxations are available: 5 years for SC candidates, 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates, and 10 years for PwBD (Divyang) candidates.

Selection Method:
There will be no written test for this recruitment. Selection will be based on a merit list derived from candidates' percentage of marks. Preference will be given to first-time apprentices.

In case of a tie in marks, the candidate with the higher age will be prioritized, followed by the one with the highest matriculation marks.
