Overview of SHAKTI Scholars Fellowship
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has initiated a fellowship program named "SHAKTI Scholars: NCW Young Research Fellowship" aimed at motivating youth to explore and propose solutions for women's challenges in India. This initiative seeks to foster innovative research that can enhance policymaking and drive positive transformations for women nationwide.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
This fellowship is available to Indian citizens aged between 21 and 30 years who have obtained at least a Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates who are pursuing or have completed a postgraduate or higher research degree. Independent researchers with substantial research experience are also encouraged to apply. Selected fellows will receive a grant of Rs. 1 lakh for a six-month research period, which will be disbursed in installments based on research progress.
Application Process
Interested candidates can submit their applications via email to the NCW by 5:30 PM on December 31st. The NCW has indicated that an expert committee will review the applications, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview as part of the selection process.
