The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has announced the release of the city slip for the Tier-1 examination aimed at filling 4,987 positions for Security Assistant/Executive roles. Candidates can access their exam city and date details by visiting mha.gov.in. The recruitment includes a total of 4,987 vacancies, with 2,471 unreserved, 1,015 for OBC, 501 for EWS, 574 for SC, and 426 for ST candidates.
Exam Schedule
Scheduled Exam Dates:
The IB Security Assistant/Executive Recruitment Exam is set for September 29 and 30, 2025. There will be four shifts on each day, starting at 8:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 2:30 PM, and 5:30 PM. Candidates must arrive at the examination center on time, as entry will close 30 minutes prior to the exam.
Exam Format
Structure of the Exam:
The Tier-1 exam will consist of five sections, each containing 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question carries 1 mark, and the total of 100 marks must be completed within 1 hour. The subjects covered include General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability/Reasoning, English Language, and General Studies. A penalty of 0.25 marks will be applied for incorrect answers.
Selection Process
Successful candidates from the Tier-1 exam will proceed to Tier-2, followed by an interview (personality test). The final merit list will be determined based on the scores from the Tier-1 exam and the interview.
Salary Details
Compensation:
Candidates selected for the Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant/Executive positions will receive a salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 (Level-3).
