Recruitment Notification Released
The Intelligence Bureau, operating under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has officially announced the recruitment for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) positions. A total of 362 vacancies will be filled through this notification. The online application process for IB MTS recruitment 2025 commenced on November 22, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website mha.gov.in until December 24, 2025. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have completed their 10th grade from a recognized board. The age limit is set between 18 to 25 years, calculated as of December 14, 2025. Additionally, candidates from the OBC category will receive a maximum age relaxation of 3 years, while SC/ST candidates will be granted a relaxation of up to 5 years.
Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive a salary under Pay Level-1. Additionally, a special security allowance of 20% of the basic pay will be provided, which is in addition to other allowances available to central government employees.
Examination Pattern
The first phase will be Tier-I, which consists of an online objective-type test. This test will feature 100 questions and will be conducted over a duration of 1 hour. The subjects included are Quantitative Aptitude (20 marks), General Awareness (40 marks), Reasoning/Logical Ability (20 marks), and English Language (20 marks). There will be negative marking of 1/4 mark for each incorrect answer.
The second phase, Tier-II, will be a descriptive test where candidates will be required to write an essay of 150 words based on English language and comprehension. This test will carry 50 marks but is only qualifying in nature, requiring candidates to score at least 20 marks to qualify.
