For those aspiring to work in the Indian Railways, this article is crucial. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a notification for the recruitment of Station Masters for the year 2026. The online application process will commence on October 27, and candidates can submit their applications until November 27, 2026.

Age Criteria

Candidates applying for the Station Master positions must have their age calculated based on January 1, 2027. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 33 years.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this recruitment, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, along with other specified qualifications.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), document verification, and a medical examination. The CBT will consist of questions from subjects like Science, Mathematics, and Reasoning, totaling 100 marks, with a duration of 120 minutes.

Application Fees

Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of ₹500, while those from reserved categories will need to pay ₹250. All candidates who pass the written examination will be called for document verification and medical tests.

Salary Details

The position of Station Master falls under Pay Level 6 of the 7th Pay Commission. Selected candidates will receive a starting salary of ₹35,400 per month.
