Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment: The Indian Navy has issued a notification for the recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) officers for the June 2027 (AT-27) course. This recruitment initiative aims to fill 275 positions for eligible unmarried male and female candidates. The application window opened on June 25, 2026, and will remain open until July 27, 2026.


Applicants must possess a B.E./B.Tech, postgraduate degree, MBA, MCA, or other specified qualifications to be eligible for the SSC officer roles.
Here are the application criteria:


Branch/Cadre    Educational Qualification


Executive Branch (GS(X)) / Hydrography    B.E./B.Tech degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.


Pilot    B.E./B.Tech in any discipline (60% marks). Additionally, candidates must have an aggregate of 60% in Class 10 and 12, and 60% in English in either Class 10 or 12.


Naval Air Operations Officer (Observer)    B.E./B.Tech in any discipline (60% marks). An aggregate of 60% in Class 10/12 and 60% in English are required.


Air Traffic Controller (ATC)    B.E./B.Tech in any discipline with at least 60% marks.


Logistics    B.E./B.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc (IT), or B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc (IT) with a PG Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain, etc. First Class is required in all cases.


Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC)    B.E./B.Tech (60% marks) in engineering branches such as Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, IT, Aerospace, Electronics, etc. Education Branch    M.Sc./M.A. in Mathematics, Physics, History, Meteorology, etc., or B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline. 55%–60% marks required in the specified subjects.


Engineering Branch (GS)    B.E./B.Tech in Marine, Mechanical, Automobile, Aerospace, Production, Industrial, Mechatronics, etc. (60% marks).


Submarine Technology (Engineering)    Qualifications are the same as the Engineering Branch (GS).


Electrical Branch (GS)    B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, ECE, Telecommunication, Power Engineering, Instrumentation, etc. (60% marks).


Submarine Technology (Electrical)    Qualifications are the same as the Electrical Branch (GS).


Naval Constructor    B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Ocean Engineering, etc. (60% marks).


Selection Process


Shortlisting: Candidates will be evaluated based on their academic performance. For B.E./B.Tech candidates, marks up to the 5th semester will be considered, while for Postgraduate candidates, marks from all semesters will be assessed. Shortlisted candidates will receive notifications via email or SMS.


SSB Interview: Those shortlisted will be invited for the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, which includes psychological assessments, group tasks, and personal interviews. First-time SSB candidates will also receive reimbursement for AC 3-tier rail fare.


Medical Examination: Candidates who pass the SSB will undergo a medical examination to assess physical and health standards.


Final Selection: A merit list will be created for candidates deemed medically fit. The final selection will depend on merit and available vacancies.
