Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply?
Unmarried male candidates are eligible for the TES-57 recruitment. Applicants must have completed their 12th-grade education with subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Additionally, participation in the JEE Main 2026 examination is required. For detailed information regarding age limits, minimum marks in the 12th-grade examination, and other eligibility criteria, please refer to the official notification.
Age Limit Requirements
What is the age limit?
Candidates applying for this Technical Entry Scheme must be aged between 16.5 and 19.5 years. However, eligibility is not solely based on age; candidates must also meet the specific date-of-birth criteria outlined in the notification. Before applying, ensure that your date of birth meets the age-related requirements specified in the official advertisement. Approximately 90 vacancies are anticipated for this recruitment, though this figure is subject to change. For the final number of vacancies and eligibility details, please check the official Indian Army website.
Selection Process
How will candidates be selected?
There will be no separate written examination for the TES-57 scheme. Initial candidate shortlisting will be based on marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12, along with performance in the JEE Main 2026. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for an interview by the Services Selection Board (SSB), followed by a medical examination. It is important to note that submitting an application does not guarantee selection; candidates must meet the SSB interview requirements, medical standards, and other conditions set by the Army.
