Indian Army Recruitment 2025: The Indian Army has announced the opening for the Technical Graduate Course 143. Graduates holding a B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. degree can apply to become officers through this program. The course is scheduled to take place from July 2026 to June 2027 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA). Interested candidates can submit their applications online at joinindianarmy.nic.in until November 6, 2025.
Course Benefits and Salary
Completing the Technical Graduate Course at IMA leads to a permanent commission in the Indian Army. During the training period, candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹56,400. After commissioning, the annual Cost to Company (CTC) will range from ₹17-18 lakh, which includes free medical services and one annual round-trip home visit. Those who join through this course will be assigned to various branches, such as the Corps of Engineers, Corps of Signals, and Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (EME).
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. degree in relevant engineering fields, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Miscellaneous Engineering. For further details, refer to the official notification.
Age and Physical Standards
Age Limit:
Applicants should be aged between 20 and 27 years as of July 1, 2026.
Physical Standards:
Candidates must pass a physical fitness test before joining the IMA. This includes completing a 2.4 km run in 10 minutes and 30 seconds, performing 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, 30 squats, and 10 lunges. Swimming ability is also required.

Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the SSB interview, which will consider their BE/B.Tech/M.Sc. marks. The interviews will take place in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Jalandhar.
