IAF Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 Overview



IAF Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the opening of online applications for the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 as part of the Agnipath scheme. This initiative allows unmarried male and female candidates from India to serve in the Air Force for a duration of four years.


Application Process

Candidates interested in applying must do so exclusively through the official website. Applications submitted through any other channels will not be considered.


The online registration period will commence on January 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM and will conclude on February 1, 2026, at 11:00 PM. The first phase of the recruitment process, which includes the online examination, is scheduled for March 30 and 31, 2026.


Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:
Applicants must be born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009, with a maximum age limit of 21 years at the time of registration.


Marital Status and Pregnancy:
Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. Selected individuals must remain unmarried throughout their four-year service. Female candidates must also provide a written commitment not to become pregnant during this period.


Educational Qualifications:
Candidates from the Science stream should have completed Class 12th with Physics, Mathematics, and English, achieving at least 50% overall and in English. Engineering diploma holders and those with relevant vocational qualifications are also eligible. Non-Science stream candidates must have passed Class 12th or an equivalent examination with the same minimum marks.


Selection Process

The selection will occur in three phases:


1. Online Objective Test


2. Physical Fitness Test and Adaptability Test


3. Medical Examination


A merit list will be generated based on the normalized scores from the online test, and candidates will be shortlisted for the following phases.


Compensation and Future Opportunities

Salary:
Selected Agniveer Vayu candidates will start with a monthly salary of ₹30,000, which will increase annually. After four years of service, candidates will receive a Seva Nidhi package of around ₹10.04 lakh.


Additionally, up to 25% of candidates from each batch may have the chance to join the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force, depending on their performance and the needs of the organization.
