The age requirements stipulate that applicants for the Flying Branch should be aged between 20 and 24 years. For Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) roles, the age limit is set between 20 and 26 years.

How will the Selection Process be Conducted?


The selection process consists of several stages. It begins with a written examination (AFCAT) that tests candidates on General Knowledge, English, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude. Additionally, candidates applying for Ground Duty (Technical) positions must have a valid GATE score. Those with an NCC ‘C’ Certificate receive special considerations for entry into the Flying Branch.


Subsequently, candidates will undergo an interview at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), which includes mental aptitude assessments, group tasks, and personal interviews. For the Flying Branch, a Pilot Aptitude Test is also part of the selection. After completing these stages, candidates must pass a medical examination, and final selections will be based on a merit list.
