Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Application:


Candidates must have completed the 10th standard, with a focus on Mathematics and English. Additionally, they should be proficient in the local language of the respective postal circle they are applying to. Basic computer skills and the ability to ride a bicycle are also required.


The age requirement for applicants is between 18 and 40 years. However, there are provisions for age relaxation: 5 years for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 3 years for Other Backward Classes (OBC).

The salary range varies by position: for Branch Postmaster (BPM), it is ₹12,000 to ₹29,380, while for Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak, it is ₹10,000 to ₹24,470. The selection will be determined based on a merit list compiled from the online applications. Candidates who are selected will need to undergo document verification at the Divisional Head's office.
