CBSE CTET 2026 Exam Dates Announced


If you are planning to take the CBSE CTET 2026 exam, there is crucial information you need to know. The examination is scheduled for February 7 and 8. Initially, the CTET session for February 2026 was set to take place on February 8 only. However, due to a higher number of registrations this year, the board has revised the schedule and split the exam into two days. This assessment will be conducted across 140 cities nationwide.


Exam Structure and Timing

According to the updated plan, the exam will be held on both days from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM for the morning session, followed by the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The morning session on February 7 and 8 will be dedicated to the first paper, while the second paper will take place in the afternoon.


Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates are advised to arrive at their examination center at least one hour before the start of the CTET exam. It is essential to bring the admit card and a valid photo ID for verification. The CBSE has also urged candidates to carefully check the exam date and shift mentioned on their admit card before entering the examination hall.


No Changes to Exam Schedule

The board has made it clear that no requests for changes to the exam city, center, or date will be entertained under any circumstances. Therefore, if you are considering making last-minute changes, you will be disappointed.


Guidelines for Exam Day

The CBSE has instructed candidates to strictly adhere to the guidelines provided on their admit cards. Entry to the examination center will not be permitted without a valid admit card and photo ID.


Inside the exam hall, candidates are prohibited from exchanging any items. They are advised to plan their travel in advance, use safe transportation, maintain hygiene while using restrooms, and avoid spitting near the examination center.
