IIT Guwahati Delays GATE 2026 Registration Dates
Updated Registration Timeline for GATE 2026
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has announced a change in the registration schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. The registration period will now be open from August 28 to September 28, 2025, without incurring a late fee. Candidates wishing to apply after this period will have until October 9, 2025, to submit their applications with a late fee.
Previously, the registration was set to begin on August 25, 2025.
The GATE 2026 examination is expected to take place between February 7 and February 15, 2026, with results to be announced on March 19, 2026. Students currently enrolled in their third year or higher of any undergraduate program, as well as those who have completed a government-recognized degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities, are eligible to take the GATE 2026.
