ICAI Announces CA Foundation and Intermediate Exam Results for January 2026
Results Released for CA Exams
New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the results for the CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations held in January 2026. Notably, the top three All India Ranks (AIR) in the Foundation category were secured by female candidates, while the second and third positions in the Intermediate category were also claimed by women. According to the official press release, Logpriya PP from Madurai achieved an impressive score of 366 out of 400 in the Foundation exam, translating to a percentage of 91.50%. Khushi Sikariya from Mindapur followed closely with 365 marks, or 91.25%, while Hiba P from Kannur scored 361 marks, equating to 90.25%.
Top Performers in Intermediate
In the Intermediate category, Kanhaiya Lal from Ellenabad scored 508 out of 600, which is 84.67%. He was followed by Fatima Shahza from Perintalmanna with 504 marks (84%), and Vanya Bansal from Faridabad with 498 marks (83%).
Pass Rates for Male and Female Candidates
In the Foundation exam, a total of 57,238 male candidates participated, with 11,523 passing, while 52,456 female candidates took the exam, out of which 9,576 were successful. The examination was conducted across 566 centers nationwide, yielding a pass percentage of 20.13% for males and 18.26% for females. The overall pass percentage for the Foundation exam stood at 19.23%.
Group-wise Candidate Performance in Intermediate
For the Intermediate exam, 105,526 candidates appeared for Group 1, with 14,733 passing, while 69,477 candidates took Group 2, resulting in 10,798 successful candidates. Overall, 41,798 candidates participated in both groups, with 3,924 passing. The pass percentage for Group 1 was 13.96%, for Group 2 it was 15.54%, and the combined pass percentage for both groups was 9.39%.
