IBPS Clerk Age Limit: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced an extension for the application deadline for clerk positions until August 28. Candidates interested in applying can do so online via the official IBPS website. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 10,277 vacancies across various government banks nationwide.


Before proceeding with the application, candidates often wonder about the maximum age limit for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment. Here are the details:


Maximum Age Limit Criteria:


Applicants for the IBPS Clerk Recruitment must be at least 20 years old and not exceed the maximum age limit as of August 1, 2025. This means candidates should have been born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2005. Additionally, age relaxation is available according to the government's reservation policy: candidates from SC and ST categories receive a 5-year extension, while OBC candidates are granted a 3-year extension.


Participating Banks:


This recruitment will appoint candidates as Customer Service Associates in 11 government banks, including Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank, and UCO Bank.


Selection Process and Exam Pattern:


The selection will involve an online preliminary exam followed by an online mains exam. Candidates will have 60 minutes to answer 100 questions in the prelims, which will consist of:



  • 30 questions (30 marks) from the English Language

  • 35 questions (35 marks) from Numerical Ability

  • 35 questions (35 marks) from Reasoning Ability


Note that there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in both the preliminary and mains exams. The final merit list will be based solely on the main examination scores. Candidates are allowed to apply for only one state, although they can choose an examination center in a different state.

  5. Upload a passport-sized photo, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration in the specified format and size.
