IBPS Clerk Vacancy 2025: Exciting news for those interested in the IBPS Clerk 2025 recruitment process. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced an increase in the number of available positions. The total vacancies for the IBPS Clerk 2025 recruitment have now risen to 13,533. This adjustment follows a manpower review meeting and additional requests from participating public sector banks.


Initially, the number of vacancies was set at 10,277. Due to the rising demand for more positions, the institute has added over 3,200 vacancies.

Salary Structure for IBPS Clerks

The starting salary for an IBPS Clerk is ₹24,050, which can increase to ₹64,480 over time, inclusive of various allowances such as special allowance, house rent allowance, and dearness allowance (DA).


Main Exam Pattern for IBPS Clerk 2025

IBPS Clerk Mains 2025: Main Exam Pattern
The Main Exam will last for 120 minutes and will consist of 155 questions worth a total of 200 marks. The breakdown of the exam is as follows:



  • 40 questions from General/Financial Awareness (50 marks)

  • 40 questions from General English (40 marks)

  • 40 questions from Reasoning Ability (60 marks)

  • 35 questions from Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)


Following the Main Exam, a Local Language Test will be conducted. Candidates who have studied the local language of the state they applied for up to the 10th grade or higher will be exempt from this test.


Similar to the Preliminary Exam, the Main Exam will also feature negative marking, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. The final merit list will be compiled based solely on the scores from the Main Exam.
