IAF Agniveer Vayu (Sports) Recruitment 2026



The Indian Air Force has announced the recruitment notification for the Agniveer Vayu (Sports) for the 2026 batch under the Agnipath Scheme. Applications are now open for unmarried Indian male candidates. Interested individuals can submit their applications online from March 23 to March 29, 2026, by visiting the official website.


The recruitment tests are scheduled to take place at the Air Force Station in New Delhi from April 8 to April 10, 2026.


Educational Requirements

For Science Subjects:


Candidates must have completed their Intermediate (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognized board, achieving at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.


Alternatively, candidates can qualify with a 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/IT) with a minimum of 50% marks and 50% in English, either in the Diploma or in Matriculation/Intermediate.


Another option is to have completed a 2-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics, securing at least 50% marks and 50% in English.


For Other Subjects:


Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English, or completed a 2-year Vocational Course with the same criteria.


Application Fee

All applicants are required to pay an application fee of ₹100, plus applicable taxes. This fee can be paid online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.


Sports Achievement Criteria

Candidates must have represented India in an international competition, or secured at least 5th place in a Junior National competition. They may also qualify by playing for their State or Union Territory team in a Senior National Championship, or participating in an All India Inter-University Championship or the Khelo India National (SAI) Games.


For team sports, candidates should have represented their State/Union Territory in a National Championship or an Inter-University Championship.
