Great news for individuals aspiring to become government educators! The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has launched the online application process to recruit 600 Junior Basic Teachers (JBT). Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official HPRCA website. The last date for online application submissions is April 6, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Requirements and Age Limit
To qualify for the Junior Basic Teacher recruitment, applicants must have completed their Senior Secondary education along with one of the following qualifications: D.El.Ed, a 2-year JBT course, B.El.Ed, Diploma in Education, B.Ed, M.Ed, or an equivalent degree.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2026, and their age should not exceed 45 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is available for candidates from reserved categories.
Selection Process and Exam Details
Exam Pattern
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or a Written Screening Test. The written examination will consist of 120 questions, with a total of 120 marks. Participants will have 90 minutes to complete the test, which will feature Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Those who achieve the required cutoff marks will be appointed to the available positions.
