Haryana Public Service Commission Reopens Applications for Assistant District Attorney Posts

The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced the reopening of the online application process for the Assistant District Attorney positions. Candidates who have previously submitted their applications do not need to reapply unless they wish to modify their existing submissions. New applicants can submit their applications online from May 25, 2026, to May 29, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Assistant District Attorney role, candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution in India. Additionally, they should have studied either Hindi or Sanskrit up to the 10th grade. It is also necessary for candidates to be registered as Advocates with the Bar Council to be eligible for this position.
Age Requirements
The recruitment drive stipulates a minimum age of 21 years and a maximum age of 42 years. However, candidates from reserved categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities, may receive age relaxation, potentially extending the upper age limit to around 52 years in specific cases.
Application Fees
Candidates from the General Category must pay an application fee of ₹1,000 for the Assistant District Attorney position. In contrast, candidates from the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and OBC categories, as well as female candidates from Haryana, are required to pay a reduced fee of ₹250. This fee must be submitted online to complete the application process.
Selection Process and Salary
The selection of candidates will be based on a Screening Test, a Subject Test, and an Interview. Those who are selected will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹53,100 to ₹1,67,800, in accordance with Haryana Government regulations.
Application Procedure
To apply, candidates should visit the official HPSC website at hpsc.gov.in. They need to click on the 'Apply Online' or 'Recruitment' section on the homepage and select the Assistant District Attorney (ADA) Recruitment 2026. After that, they should complete the new registration process by providing basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID.
Once registered, candidates must log in and fill out the application form with their educational qualifications, personal information, and Advocate Registration details. They should upload necessary documents, including a photograph, signature, and other certificates. The application fee must be paid online as per the applicable category. Finally, candidates should review all information for accuracy before submitting the form.
