The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has unveiled a significant recruitment drive for Constable positions within the Police Department. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications online starting January 11, 2026. Here’s what you need to know about the application process.


Exciting news awaits those aiming for a police career in Haryana! The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has issued a notification for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026. This initiative aims to select 5,500 qualified candidates.


The recruitment will fill 5,500 Constable roles, which include 4,500 positions for Male Constables (General Duty), 400 for Male Constables (GRP), and 600 for Female Constables (General Duty). Notably, there are reserved seats for women.


The online application window opens on January 11, 2026, and will close at 11:59 PM on January 25, 2026. A key highlight of this recruitment is that no application fee will be required from candidates of any category.


Candidates must have completed their 12th grade to be eligible. The commission has specified that no additional marks will be awarded for qualifications beyond the 12th grade. The age requirement is between 18 and 25 years, with age relaxation available for reserved categories.


For the physical test, male candidates must complete a 2.5 km run in 12 minutes, while female candidates must run 1 km in 6 minutes. The minimum height requirement for men in the general category is 170 cm, and for women, it is 158 cm. Chest measurements are set at 83 cm for men, while for reserved categories, the minimum height is 168 cm for men and 156 cm for women, with chest measurements at 81 cm.


Candidates from reserved categories should ensure their certificates are current. Certificates for BCA, BCB, and EWS categories must be issued on or after April 1, 2025. For DSC and OSC categories, certificates must be dated after November 13, 2024, and for ESM family members, they should be issued or renewed after January 12, 2025.


To apply online, candidates should visit the official HSSC website at www.hssc.gov.in. They need to click on 'Apply Online,' register, log in, fill out the application form, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application. It is advisable to save a printout or PDF copy of the application for future reference.
