The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has officially announced the recruitment for 5500 Constable positions within the Haryana Police. The application window for these roles will open on January 11, 2026, and will close on January 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM.


Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

This includes 4,500 roles for Male Constables (General Duty), 600 for Female Constables (General Duty), and 400 for Male Constables (Government Railway Police).


Eligibility for 12th Pass Candidates:
Candidates who have completed their 12th grade and have studied either Sanskrit or Hindi in the 10th grade are eligible to apply. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 25 years, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories.


Physical Standards Required

For the physical standards, male candidates must be at least 170 cm tall, while female candidates should be a minimum of 158 cm. Additionally, male candidates must have an unexpanded chest measurement of 83 cm. Candidates from reserved categories will receive a 2 cm relaxation in both height and chest measurements.


Selection Process Overview

Selection Methodology:
The selection process for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026 involves shortlisting eligible candidates based on their applications, followed by a physical test. Male candidates are required to complete a 2.5 km run in 12 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 1 km run in 6 minutes. Successful candidates will then take the Common Eligibility Test (Knowledge Test). A merit list will be generated based on the results. Notably, candidates holding an NCC certificate will receive an additional 3 marks, and EWS candidates will be awarded 2.5 marks.
