This recruitment initiative offers a total of 13,591 positions. Among these, 858 are designated for PSI and Jailer roles, while the remaining 12,733 positions include Lokrakshak, Constable, Armed Constable, SRPF, and Jail Sepoy. This is one of the most significant police recruitment drives in recent years within the state.
Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply?
Applicants must fulfill specific eligibility requirements and age limits based on the positions they are applying for.
- PSI / Jailer: Bachelor's Degree, Age 21–35 years
- Lokrakshak / Constable / Jail Sepoy: 12th Pass, Age 18–33 years
Additionally, candidates must meet physical standards, including minimum height and chest measurements for men, while women have distinct height and weight requirements. Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per government regulations.
Application Process
How to apply online?
Once the application window opens, follow these steps:
- Visit the OJAS Gujarat portal.
- Complete the online application form and register.
- Pay the application fee: ₹100 for General candidates; SC/ST, SEBC, women, and ex-servicemen are exempt from this fee.
- Prepare scanned copies of necessary documents, including educational certificates, proof of date of birth, and caste certificate.
- Review all details before submitting the application.
Selection Process
What is the selection process?
The recruitment will consist of both physical and written assessments.
- First stage: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – qualifying in nature.
- Second stage: Written examination. For PSI: Objective and descriptive papers totaling 300 marks.
- For Constable and Lokrakshak: MCQ-based test with 200 questions, 200 marks, and a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
- Following this, there will be document verification and, in some cases, an interview.
