  • Police Sub-Inspector: 858 posts (659 Unarmed, 129 Armed, 70 Jailer Group-2)

  • Constable and Jail Constable: 12,733 posts (6,942 Unarmed Constables, 2,458 Armed Constables, 3,002 Armed Constables (SRPF), 300 Male Jail Constables, 31 Female Jail Constables)


Candidates must hold a graduation degree for the Police Sub-Inspector roles, while those who have completed 12th grade can apply for the Constable positions.


Age Requirements and Selection Process

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, with the maximum age limit varying by position: 33 years for Constables and 35 years for Police Sub-Inspectors. Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories as per government regulations.


The selection process consists of three stages: a Physical Efficiency Test, a Physical Standard Test, followed by a written examination, and concluding with document verification. Salaries for selected Police Sub-Inspectors range from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month, while Police Constables earn between Rs. 21,700 and Rs. 69,100.
