Overview of Recruitment: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 72 Class-I Assistant Professors within the Health and Family Welfare Department. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold an MD (Medicine), MD (General Medicine), or DNB (General Medicine) for the General Medicine position.

For General Surgery, an MS (Surgery), MS (General Surgery), or DNB (General Surgery) is required.

For Obstetrics and Gynecology, candidates should have an MD/MS (Obstetric Gynecology) or DNB (Obstetric Gynecology).

For Pediatrics, an MD (Pediatrics) or DNB (Pediatrics) is necessary, while Orthopedics requires an MS (Orthopedics) or DNB (Orthopedics).

Application Fee:

Candidates from the General category must pay ₹100 along with any applicable postal or service charges. However, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwBD, and ex-servicemen (from Gujarat) are exempt from the application fee.

Selection Process:

The selection will begin with a preliminary examination worth 200 marks, lasting 180 minutes. Candidates who pass this exam will be invited for an interview, which will determine the final selection.
