GATE 2026 Exam Overview
The examination will take place in two distinct shifts.
As per the announced schedule, the GATE 2026 examination is set to commence on February 7, 2026. This assessment will be entirely computer-based and will occur at various testing centers nationwide. The exam will be organized in two shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Candidates aspiring to enroll in MTech, MS, and PhD programs via GATE 2026 can access a mock test link on the official website. IIT Guwahati has provided mock tests for GATE 2026, enabling candidates to get accustomed to the exam format, interface, and question types.
It is important to note that the features in the mock test may not reflect those of the actual exam. Additionally, the mock test should not be relied upon to predict the topics that will appear in the real examination. The questions in the mock test will not be graded, and no scorecard will be provided.
