Eligibility Criteria for FSSAI Recruitment

Who can apply for FSSAI recruitment?


This recruitment initiative by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is conducted on a deputation basis. Only candidates meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply:



  • Joint Director: Applicants must be officials from Central/State Governments, Union Territories, government universities, research institutes, PSUs, or autonomous/statutory organizations, with a minimum of 5 years of regular service in Pay Level 11 or an equivalent position.


  • Manager (IT): Candidates should possess a B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field, an MCA, or a relevant Bachelor's degree, along with 3 years of regular service in Pay Level 7 or an equivalent role.


  • Junior Assistant Grade II: Candidates must have completed the 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board, with 3 years of regular service in an equivalent post.
