Support for NEET-UG 2026 Examinees
In response to the recent paper leak incident, both central and state governments are taking steps to facilitate the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. Scheduled for June 21, several states are offering free bus travel for students heading to their exam centers, allowing them to simply present their admit cards for access. Additional buses will be deployed to ensure that students do not encounter any travel issues.
Bihar's Free Round-Trip Travel
The Bihar government has introduced complimentary bus services for students participating in the NEET re-examination. Candidates can utilize this service for both their journey to the exam center and their return trip afterward, provided they show their admit card or a copy during travel.
Support in Haryana and Uttarakhand
In Haryana, the government has declared free travel for students using state transport services. Similarly, Uttarakhand is offering free or discounted travel options on various routes, which will greatly assist students from remote and mountainous regions.
Free Bus Services in Multiple States
Students in Andhra Pradesh can ride APSRTC buses for free by presenting their hall tickets, with extra buses available if necessary. Odisha will also provide free bus services to all exam centers statewide. In Delhi, candidates can board DTC buses without any fare. The Punjab government has arranged free travel on Punbus and PRTC buses from June 20 to June 22, with the admit card serving as a valid ticket in all these states.
Enhanced Security Measures for the Examination
In light of the previous paper leak, heightened security protocols are being implemented for the upcoming exam. The Indian Air Force will assist in transporting question papers to various centers, while answer sheets and other sensitive materials will be closely monitored by security agencies to prevent any irregularities.
