New Kendriya Vidyalayas Set to Open in Bihar

The Central Government has given the green light for the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalayas in 18 districts across Bihar. In response, the state government will allocate the necessary land to facilitate the construction of these educational institutions.

This initiative aims to broaden the educational reach of Kendriya Vidyalayas for students in Bihar. Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, the Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, announced that land has already been secured in 12 of the 18 districts, with plans to finalize land acquisition in the remaining six districts within the upcoming months.

The state administration is expediting the required processes to ensure timely progress. The Minister emphasized that this development is a pivotal advancement for Bihar's educational framework, promising improved academic resources and overall educational quality for students.

Land Acquisition Progress

The Department of Revenue and Land Reforms is actively working to secure land for the new Kendriya Vidyalayas. Minister Dr. Dilip Jaiswal has directed officials and district administrations to promptly identify suitable land in areas where it has not yet been acquired. He assured that the processes would be accelerated in districts where land has already been identified, and the formalities for transferring land to the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan or the Education Department will be completed soon for the remaining districts.

Modern Facilities in New Schools

The government plans to incorporate advanced educational facilities in the new Kendriya Vidyalayas. These schools will feature smart classrooms, science and computer laboratories, and Atal Tinkering Labs to provide students with a technology-driven education. Additionally, spacious playgrounds and essential infrastructure will be established to encourage sports and physical activities.

Introduction of 'Bal Vatika'

A notable aspect of this initiative is the introduction of 'Bal Vatika', a three-year pre-primary program, in these Kendriya Vidyalayas, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This program aims to deliver quality education to young children from the foundational stage. Currently, there are 1,288 Kendriya Vidyalayas operating nationwide, including three located abroad, serving a large number of students. The Central Government has previously sanctioned the expansion of Kendriya Vidyalayas, and this latest approval will see additional schools established in various states.
