Overview of the Summer Internship Program
Summer Internship: The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) along with the Digital India Corporation (DIC) has introduced a Non-Technical Summer Internship Program for 2026. This initiative is organized under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
Internship Objectives
The primary aim of this internship is to equip young individuals with hands-on experience in areas like digital governance, policy development, data management, communication, and administrative tasks. This program is especially advantageous for students eager to enhance their skills through involvement in government initiatives, the Digital India Mission, and public policy.
Eligibility Criteria
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must have achieved at least 60% in their previous examinations. They should either be enrolled in a recognized university or have recently graduated. Students in the pre-final and final years of 10+2+3, 10+2+4, Diploma, and Integrated Degree programs are also eligible to apply.

This internship provides a chance to work in various non-technical fields, including Program Management, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Content Writing, Data Privacy, and Cloud Computing. Interns will engage in activities such as report preparation, research, social media content creation, organizing training sessions, and overseeing digital projects. This experience will significantly enhance their practical knowledge and professional skills.
Internship Duration and Compensation
Duration and Stipend
This internship will take place from July to September 2026, with a minimum duration of two months, extendable to three months based on performance. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000, payable upon successful completion of the internship and submission of the final report. A certificate will be awarded to those who complete the program, which will be advantageous for their future career prospects.
