The RRB has sanctioned the recruitment of approximately 22,000 Level-1 roles. Notably, around 11,000 of these positions are designated for Track Maintainer Grade IV. Additional roles include Pointsman-B and various assistant positions across Engineering, Electrical, and Mechanical departments.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will consist of a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV), and a Medical Examination.


Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility and Age Requirements:
Candidates must have completed their 10th grade from a recognized board. For certain technical roles, an ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) is necessary.


The age limit is set between 18 to 33 years as of January 1, 2026, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories in accordance with regulations.
