Following the recruitment for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive and Security Assistant/Executive, a new opportunity has emerged for candidates with engineering qualifications.

Recruitment for 394 Junior Intelligence Officer Positions


The latest recruitment initiative is for 394 positions of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Tech. The official notification has been released, and the application process commenced today. Interested candidates can apply through the official website mha.gov.in until September 14, 2025. The deadline for fee payment is set for September 16, 2025.


Eligibility Criteria for IB JIO

Who Can Apply?


This recruitment is specifically aimed at individuals with an engineering background. Candidates holding a degree or diploma in engineering are eligible. The notification specifies that those with diplomas in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or Computer Applications can apply.


Additionally, candidates with a bachelor's degree in science with a focus on electronics, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a bachelor's degree in computer applications are also qualified.

Age Requirements


Applicants must be between 18 and 21 years old, with age calculated as of September 14, 2025. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation according to government regulations.


Salary and Selection Process

IB JIO Salary: Up to ₹81,100


Candidates will be selected based on a written examination, document verification, and a medical examination. Those who are successful will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level-4).

Candidates belonging to the General/OBC/EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹650, while SC/ST/Female candidates will pay ₹550. The fee must be paid online. It is recommended that candidates review the official notification before applying.
