Railway Recruitment Board Announces Junior Engineer Positions



A fantastic opportunity has emerged for youth eager to join the railway sector. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has initiated the recruitment process for Junior Engineer roles (RRB JE Recruitment 2026) starting from August 14. This recruitment drive aims to fill 3,993 Junior Engineer positions. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online until September 13.

**Salary Information**


Selected candidates for the Junior Engineer roles will earn a monthly salary of ₹35,400.


**Age Requirements**


Applicants must be between 18 and 33 years old. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories. The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2027.


**Application Fees**


The application fee is ₹500 for candidates in the unreserved category, while it is ₹250 for SC, ST, female, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates.


**Selection Procedure**


The selection will be based on a series of assessments including CBT-1, CBT-2, document verification, and a medical examination. The CBT-1 will feature 100 questions worth 100 marks, covering Mathematics, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Science. There will be negative marking, deducting one-third of a mark for each incorrect answer. To advance to the next stage, General and EWS candidates need to achieve at least 40% marks, OBC and SC candidates require 30%, and ST candidates must secure 25% in the CBT-1 exam. Those who qualify will then take the CBT-2 exam, which consists of 150 questions totaling 150 marks.
