Sports Ministry Paid Internship 2025: For those with a passion for sports and a desire to build a career in this dynamic field, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has introduced an exciting internship program. A budget of ₹5.3 crore has been allocated for this initiative, which promises a paid internship experience, allowing participants to gain valuable insights into the sports industry while earning a stipend.


Objectives of the Internship Scheme

The primary goal of this internship scheme is to cultivate a skilled workforce in sports administration, science, and related sectors. It aims to bridge the gap between enthusiastic youth and the sports domain. According to Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, this initiative is expected to significantly contribute to nation-building through sports.


Internship Opportunities Available

Available Positions:
A total of 452 internship positions will be filled under this program. Selected interns will have the chance to collaborate with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) and its key affiliated organizations, which include:



  • Sports Authority of India (SAI): This organization is dedicated to promoting sports in India and identifying talented athletes for international competition.


  • National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA): NADA focuses on preventing doping in sports and takes action against athletes who breach regulations.


  • National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL): This laboratory conducts doping tests to ensure fair play in sports.



Interns will engage in over 20 different areas, including sports management, event operations, media relations, legal affairs, and IT systems, allowing them to explore their interests in depth.


Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Who Can Apply?
Graduates and postgraduates aspiring to work in sports management, physical education, or related fields are encouraged to apply. The Ministry will soon release application details on its official portal, enabling candidates to register. This internship program is set to commence biannually in January and July. After submitting applications, shortlisted candidates will undergo an onboarding process, where a panel of experts will finalize selections. This initiative is anticipated to enhance youth engagement in sports significantly.
