Who Can Apply?


To qualify for internships at DLJ and SAG, applicants must be Indian students who have completed their final year in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program, such as B.E./B.Tech (Engineering), M.E./M.Tech (Technology), or M.Sc (Science). A strong academic background is essential, typically requiring a minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5 from a recognized AICTE/UGC-approved institution. Certain laboratories, like SAG, may demand higher academic scores (e.g., 85% or 8.5 CGPA) in specific subjects. Additionally, candidates must not have any active backlogs.

Application Deadlines:


The DRDO internships are available through two distinguished laboratories: Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (DLJ) and Scientific Analysis Group (SAG). The deadline for submitting applications to DLJ is December 23, 2025, while applications for SAG must be submitted by December 19.


Benefits of the Internship

What You Gain:


Interns will benefit from six months of practical training in research and technology development. The compensation includes a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 at DLJ, while SAG offers a total stipend of ₹30,000 for the six-month duration, disbursed in two installments of ₹15,000 each at three and six months. Upon completion, interns will receive a certificate from DRDO, enhancing their CV and resume for future opportunities.
