Great news for young individuals in Tamil Nadu aspiring to become government doctors! The Tamil Nadu Medical Reserve Bank (TNMRB) has announced the recruitment of 1,100 Assistant Surgeon roles.
Candidates interested in applying can do so online at mrb.tn.gov.in. To qualify, applicants must possess an MBBS degree, be registered with the Tamil Nadu Medical Council, and hold a certificate from a House Surgeon (CRRI).
The age limits are set at a maximum of 37 years for the general category, 47 years for persons with disabilities (PWDs), and 48 years for ex-servicemen. Additionally, age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, MBC, and BCM categories.
Selected individuals will earn a monthly salary ranging from ₹56,100 to ₹2,05,700, depending on their Level 22 classification. The selection process will include a computer-based test, COVID duty incentive marks (if applicable), and document verification.
The examination will consist of two segments: the Tamil Language Eligibility Test, a one-hour exam worth 50 marks requiring a minimum score of 40%, and a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Medical Science at the undergraduate level, lasting two hours and totaling 100 marks. The qualifying marks are set at 30% for SC, SCA, and ST categories, and 35% for all other categories.
The application fee for this recruitment is ₹1,000, and the deadline for submissions is December 11.
