IMD Recruitment Notification 2025


IMD Jobs 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced a recruitment drive for 134 positions, including Administrative Assistant, Project Scientist, and more. Eligible candidates can apply online via the official website, with the application deadline set for December 14, 2025.


A total of 136 roles are available in this recruitment initiative. This includes one position for Project Scientist-E, 14 for Project Scientist-III, 23 for Project Scientist-II, and 71 for Project Scientist-I. Additionally, there are 25 openings for Scientific Assistants and two for Administrative Assistants.


Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants for the Project Scientist roles must possess an M.Sc., B.Tech., or B.E. degree in a relevant field, achieving at least 60% marks.


For the Scientific Assistant role, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Physics or a related engineering discipline.


Administrative Assistant candidates must have a bachelor's degree and be proficient in computer skills to effectively handle daily office tasks, document management, and administrative duties.


Age Limit:
The age limits vary by position. For Project Scientist-I, the maximum age is 35 years; for Project Scientist-II, it is 40 years; and for Project Scientist-III, it is 45 years. The highest age limit of 50 years applies to the Project Scientist-E role.
