The Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board (PSSSB) has unveiled a recruitment opportunity aimed at young individuals aspiring for government positions in Punjab. This initiative includes openings for various roles such as Clerk, Driver, Field Artist, and Translator across multiple government sectors. A total of 70 positions are available, with 28 specifically designated for female applicants. The application process is currently open, and interested candidates can apply through the Board's official website until October 19, 2026.


Available Positions and Qualifications

The PSSSB recruitment drive will fill the following roles:



  • Driver: 3 positions


  • Clerk (Legal): 11 positions


  • Clerk (Accounts): 34 positions


  • Clerk (IT): 12 positions


  • Translator: 6 positions


  • Field Artist: 1 position



Candidates applying for the Driver position must have completed the 10th grade and hold a valid LMV/HMV driving license along with relevant driving experience. For the Clerk roles, specific qualifications are required: IT/CS/BCA for Clerk (IT), a Law degree for Clerk (Legal), and a B.Com for Clerk (Accounts). The Translator role necessitates a graduation degree with Punjabi, English, or Hindi as a primary subject. Additionally, a degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Commercial Art, or Graphic Design is essential for the Field Artist position.


Age Criteria and Selection Methodology

The age requirements for all positions start at a minimum of 18 years. The upper age limit for candidates in the General category is 37 years, with age relaxation available for reserved categories in Punjab as per existing regulations. Selection will be based on an objective-type written examination (MCQ test). For clerical roles, candidates must also complete a typing test, achieving a speed of 30 words per minute in both Punjabi and English.


Application Fees and Submission Deadline

The application fee structure is as follows:



  • General category: ₹1,000


  • SC, BC, and EWS categories: ₹250


  • Ex-servicemen: ₹200


  • Candidates with disabilities: ₹500
