Job Positions and Salary Structure
This recruitment drive will fill positions in two categories at the Forensic Science Laboratory, Lucknow:
- Scientific Assistant: 147 posts available with a salary range of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 under Pay Level-6.
- Laboratory Assistant: 61 posts available with a salary range of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 under Pay Level-4.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this examination, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- PET 2025 Scorecard: Candidates must have taken the UPSSSC PET-2025 and possess a valid scorecard, as selection for the main examination will be based on these scores.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should hold a B.Sc. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences (such as Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology), or Forensic Science. For computer-related posts, a B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.Tech, or an 'A' Level Diploma from NIELIT is also acceptable.
Age Limit and Application Fee
The age criteria for applicants are as follows:
- Age Range: Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years old as of July 1, 2026. Reserved category candidates in Uttar Pradesh (SC/ST/OBC, etc.) are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit, as per state government regulations.
- Application Fee: The fee for processing applications is ₹25 for all candidates, including General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities.
Selection Process
