Government Job Opportunities Announced by SSC



A remarkable chance has emerged for youth aspiring to secure government positions. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revealed the recruitment of 2,536 Group-C roles through the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026. This recruitment is for various ministries, departments, offices, constitutional bodies, statutory bodies, and tribunals of the Government of India. The announcement includes vacancies for positions such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO), including Grade 'A' DEO roles.


**Application Period**


The online application process commenced on September 7 and will conclude on October 7. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register on the official SSC website before the deadline.


The last date for submitting the application fee is set for 11:00 PM on October 8. For those who encounter issues while completing the application, a correction window will be available from October 14 to 11:00 PM on October 16, allowing for corrections and online fee payment.


**Eligibility Criteria**


Applicants must have completed their Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized institution. The age requirement ranges from 18 to 27 years as of October 1, 2026. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per existing regulations. Selection will be based on a Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I), a Computer-Based Examination (Tier-II), a Skill Test, and Document Verification (DV). The monthly salary for selected candidates will vary from ₹19,900 to ₹92,300, depending on the specific role, along with additional benefits and allowances.


Candidates are required to pay the application fee online based on their category: ₹100 for General, OBC, and EWS (male) applicants. However, SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and female candidates are exempt from the application fee.
