Indian Railways Jobs: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for those aspiring to work in the railways, particularly in the Western Railways sector. This initiative is especially aimed at the youth from the Bhopal and Jabalpur divisions.


The West Central Railway is set to conduct an apprenticeship program, welcoming applications from candidates who have completed their 10th grade. A total of 2,865 positions are available for this apprenticeship, with the application deadline set for September 29.


These apprenticeships will provide training in various technical roles, including fitter, welder, and electrician. Specifically, the distribution of posts includes 558 for the Bhopal division, 1,136 for Jabalpur, and 865 for Kota.


Additionally, there are 136 positions at CRWS Bhopal, 151 at WRS Kota Workshop, and 19 at Jabalpur Headquarters. Selected candidates will undergo training for a duration ranging from 6 months to 1 year.


The application process will commence on Saturday, August 30, and candidates can submit their applications until September 29, 2025, via the West Central Railway website at www.wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.


To qualify for this apprenticeship, candidates must have completed their 10th grade from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. The age requirement is between 15 and 24 years, and candidates should possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade.


Moreover, age relaxation will be provided for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, and Divyang categories. The selection process will be based on a merit list derived from the marks obtained in the 10th grade and ITI for early applicants.


Selection will strictly adhere to merit, eliminating the need for any written tests or interviews. An application fee of Rs 100 is applicable.


When applying for the apprenticeship, candidates must include a passport-sized photo, a signature photo, a birth certificate, a copy of the 10th-grade mark sheet, the ITI mark sheet, and a caste certificate.
