Essential Study Tips for Upcoming Board Exams
Preparing for Board Exams: Key Insights
With board examinations approaching in the next three months, students are likely to experience heightened stress and anxiety regarding their preparation. Many struggle particularly with subjects such as mathematics and science. Opting for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) can pave the way for a career in engineering, while Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) can lead to medical professions. Nawab Saqib, the director of Image Classes in Aligarh, has shared valuable advice and insights to aid students in enhancing their study strategies.
Understanding Over Memorization
According to Nawab Saqib, a deep understanding of mathematics is crucial. Students should thoroughly comprehend each line of the NCERT textbooks to grasp the intended lessons. Relying solely on memorization of questions is inadequate; instead, students should engage in repetitive practice of concepts.
Concise Writing is Key
When it comes to science, which encompasses physics, chemistry, and biology, students should articulate their answers in a concise manner using NCERT terminology. It's important to avoid overly elaborate responses and instead convey the essential points in their own words. Practicing the final exercise questions in science is particularly important.
Line-by-Line Preparation for Science
Nawab Saqib emphasized that for mathematics, students must master every question in the NCERT syllabus and also tackle problems from additional resources, as board exams may include questions beyond NCERT. For science, however, a meticulous line-by-line approach is necessary, covering activities, examples, and questions. He proudly noted that last year, Mohammad Salik, a student from Image Classes Aligarh, achieved the highest score of 98.8% in the CBSE 10th board exam. Nawab Saqib remains optimistic that future students will continue to excel and bring pride to their families and community through their dedication.
