DRDO Apprentice Recruitment 2025 Overview


Exciting Opportunity at DRDO: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced an exciting recruitment drive for apprentice roles at its research facility in Hyderabad. The application window opens tomorrow, September 27, and will remain open until October 28. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website.


Available Positions and Qualifications

A total of 195 apprentice roles are available, which include:



  • 40 Graduate Apprentice positions


  • 20 Technician (Diploma) Apprentice positions


  • 135 ITI Trade Apprentice positions



To qualify for the Graduate Apprentice roles, candidates must possess an engineering degree in relevant fields such as mechanical or chemical engineering. For Technician Apprentice roles, a diploma in a related discipline is necessary. Those applying for ITI Trade Apprentice positions should hold an ITI certificate in trades like Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Mechanic-Diesel, Draftsman (Mechanical), Electronic Mechanic, Electrician, COPA, or Library Assistant.


Age Requirements for Applicants

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. However, candidates from reserved categories are exempt from the upper age limit as per government guidelines. The age of candidates will be determined as of September 1, 2025.


Selection Process for DRDO Jobs

The selection of candidates will be based on their educational qualifications and technical abilities. Those who are shortlisted will go through document verification and a medical examination. Graduate apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000, while diploma apprentices will earn ₹8,000 per month.
