Introduction of New Courses at DU's School of Open Learning

Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL) is preparing to unveil two new academic programs: a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare. These courses are set to begin in the academic year 2026-27, allowing prospective students to apply during the upcoming admission cycle. However, it is important to note that the official sanction for these programs is still awaited.

Details on Course Preparation and Approval Process

The SOL has finalized the syllabus for both the B.Sc. in Computer Science and the MBA in Healthcare, which will soon be submitted to the DU Executive Council for approval. It is expected that the Council will review and approve these courses in its next meeting, thus enabling their launch in the forthcoming academic session.

Additionally, SOL has partnered with the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare to support the MBA in Healthcare program. This collaboration will provide students with internship opportunities at the Institute.

Upcoming Admission Timeline for DU SOL

Every year, the School of Open Learning at Delhi University conducts a separate admission process for its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. For the 2026-27 academic year, the application process is anticipated to start in June and will run until September. Prior to this, in April, SOL will seek the Distance Education Board's approval to kick off the application process.
